First it was PAINT, now it is CANDY!!

Somebody stole candy off our front porch (after they stole or destroyed paint we had).

The "body" of each entry used to have big, easy to read lettering that popped out from the screen. Now Blogger has fucked it all to hell!!

Girl nearly ruins bakery case

I saw something awesome in a commercial for a local (Cincinnati) auto dealer!!

I don't want to jinx it by posting details, but an actress in the commercial had a.....er...."weird feature"?? Some of you will know what I mean. Even better, she was an ACTRESS not a customer of the dealer!!

I praise her. She can be an inspiration!!

Bible thumpers blocked door at Frisch's

I went to Frisch's on my lunch break to get CARRYOUT. When I was in line, there were four men in suits, all males, about 50ish, in front. One of them jammed a religious tract in my hand and said if I give X amount of dollars to the church (30 percent of my income or something), I will be "SAVED!!"

I said the real Jesus cared about the poor, not how much money you can give to a preacher to buy a all-glass cathedral or a new Mercedes or whatever.

I don't think they were actually ordering any food!! I think they were only there to cause a scene!!

When I tried to leave the Frisch's, the men spread out, quadruple file and blocked me!! LOL!! So being of the smart and intelligent type, I ran in the opposite direction and went out the OTHER door!! I'm surprised they weren't waiting for me at my car!!

Reading glasses for reading catalogues

I had my eyes checked the other day, and I am 20/20 but I still bought reading glasses (bug eye style) for reading catalogues at work. (I had some old glasses but only theatrical.)

The print in things has gotten smaller, so here is a list of things you will need reading glasses for even if you have perfect vision.

Catalogues. We have to look things up in catalogues at work. The print is SMALL. A woman at work who has THICK glasses also needs a magnifying glass to read it!!

Books. Print in some BOOKS is smaller than it used to be.

Batteries packages. Look how tiny the print is now.

OTC drug packages. Some prescription drugs too. See notes on batteries.

Bad commercial review

Watching TV on my lunch break (Ch. 19). Saw commercial for Repatha. Commercial says Repatha has all kinda of side effects.

Saw commercial for tattoo removal company. Useless.

She is suing for....harassment!!

LOL at "The Judgement Hour"!!

I got addicted to Judge Judy many years ago when she was still on Ch. 5, in the days of Dave Wagner/Anne Marie Tiernan. (And who was the weatherman's name who had a deep drawl?? Byron or Brad or something??)

I watched Judge Judy today because I went home after my opthamologist appointment. (I am 20/20 yay!!) I've always liked the man with the deep voice who does the voiceover on Judge Judy, and I always know when he is going to say "harassment".

He always has a big pause before he says "harassment".

"They are suing for.........harassment."

When he says "They are suing for....", and has a big pause, you KNOW the next word will be "harassment!!" People on that show are ALWAYS suing for "harassment".

They stole my paint

Some asshole has stolen or destroyed paint off my porch for the second year in a row!!

Last year they stole it and we had to have it replaced. Overnight last night, they opened it up and left it out to get ruined by the rain. It's always "just some kids" who are 40.

Republican Jesus church taking over Park Hills!!

Ooh..had to share this story about how Park Hills (that is a city in Northern Kentucky if you are from out of state) is becoming a victim of HATE at the hands of a "traditional Catholic" congregation.

This is a congregation that preaches against the LGBT community and Neo-Pagans, but the congregation claims to be a victim of persecution. Now that is rich. Now the congregation is taking over Park Hills city government!!

I also bet they don't even know what "Neo-Pagan" means?? A lot of Republican Jesus types throw that word around but I don't think they even know what it MEANS!!

One caveat: Every town has Republican Jesus churches (which are different from normal churches). Park Hills isn't alone.

I also lived in Southgate when they had the "pilgrims" coming to Cold Spring, so Park Hills needs to brace itself for the traffic jams, etc.

I loled when I saw the story this morning about the kid who complained because his yearbook photo was panned in so it didn't show his Trump sweater!! (Can you say fake news??)

Yearbooks do this all the time. They pan in or modify the color to make your photo look "better". There is no conspiracy to "silence" kids supporting Trump.

I went to the parade and didn't see what happened but I have heard from two others about what happened. My roommate went down to get popsickles and snacks and saw a Trump or TEA Party man (by Circle K) going through the crowd and trying to fight people. He was a white male, 30ish, beard, brown hair, white shirt, red hat, tan or beige shorts.

I used to love Tim Allen, but Carroll O'Connor he is not.

I didn't know he had a new show, "Last Man Standing", until I turned the TV there on accident and found a sitcom with him spewing ultra-conservative diatribe. Unlike Archie Bunker, Tim was held up as the hero of the show!!

I didn't know what the show was called until ABC shitcanned it!! I know about "Blue Bloods" where Tom Selleck plays a man named Reagan, but I didn't know what Tim Allen's dumb show was called!!

Conservatives are boycotting ABC because they canceled it. Poor things. Most shows don't get to run for six episodes, but this bullshit ran for six seasons. The conservatives should be praising the "liberal media" for having their show on for so long!!

How I went from Sesame Street to MTV

"CHANGE THE CHANNEL ANN!!"

I liked Sesame Street, my brother liked MTV, we only had one set, and he was bigger...so MTV won out.

I used to watch Sesame Street when I was little. I was a Sesame Streeter. That came to an end after we got cable. My brother wanted to watch MTV. We fought like cats and dogs about it.

I gave in and let him have his MTV, and then I got into MTV myself. Loved what I saw. I got hooked when I saw a video on MTV where BIG BIRD fell from the ceiling!! This really happened my friends. I thought if Big Bird was on MTV, it has to be good!!

My brother still let me watch Sesame Street when Mr. Hooper died because I loved Mr. Hooper. I cried when I watched the part where Big Bird learned of his passing.

After I started watching MTV, I got interested in cable television acting. This was the push I needed. Thanks Bro!!

Ongoing medical issue

If you know me, you know an X-ray of my neck looks like somebody took a 5-iron to it.

It is mildly painful (and more numb) but it is surviveable. I had some very bad X-rays about seven months ago and started treatment.

The awesome part. I get to go to the doctor for it this week and start another stage of treatment which is awesomer. Hip hip hooray.

I eat normal.

I don't need surgery though, so I emerged awesome in life. I LOVE LIFE!! Love it, love it, love it!! Good choices pay off!!

No cooperation with school

Had a very healthy and hardy debate with a co-worker about this!!

The topic: Is it a parent's obligation to "cooperate" with their child's school?? Discuss below!!

Annswer: It is not. Most schools are institutions of control. Some school handbooks read that it is a parent's "obligation" and "responsibility" to cooperate with everything the school says and does. What about when the school is wrong??

Here is an example. If I were a parent, and the school required my child to take a drug test to be in cheerleading, football, or the chess club, would it be my responsibility to comply (when my child is already drug free)??

Another example (this is one for you Bandit). If the school required my child to wear a uniform or cut their hair, would it be my responsibility to make my child comply?? I would say no.

(I am talking about public schools. I am a product of public school. I wouldn't even think of making my children go to Catholic school.)

A parent's job is to parent, not to abdicate parenting responsibilities to the school. When we say it takes a village, this is not what we mean. It takes a village of love, not control. The parent also has another job, and that is to fight the school when it is wrong. Parents parent for the kids, not the school.

Fake Christians

A lot of "Christians" today do not follow the Christianity I grew up with.

The Christianity that I grew up with was of love and tolerance. The "Republican Jesus" is not the Jesus that I followed. The fake "Christians" today believe in discrimination and judgement. They are authoritarian and culty, and not very Christian.

We decorated Eater eggs when I was growing up, and there was one year my cousin BROKE ours on purpose. My Mom and Dad blew the yolk out of the eggs (I don't know how they did this, they just gave us hollow eggs), and after I painted one of them my cousin SMASHED it with his fist!!

Facebook sucks (Part Chetyre)

By this time I have lost six accounts on Facebook. So I got a SEVENTH.

I didn't do anything except post "THANK YOU" on a friend's Timeline. Within minutes, my seventh account was gone like all the rest.

When you get a Facebook account pulled, you will not be given a reason. You will be directed to a standard page of "possible" reasons. This is a list of the reasons. I did not violate any of these reasons:

"Your account must list your authentic name."

It had my real name.

"Personal accounts must represent individual people only. It's a violation of our policies to use a personal profile to represent anything other than yourself (ex: celebrities, pets, ideas, objects, etc.)."

It represented me only.

"Impersonating anyone or anything is not allowed."

Nope.

"Maintaining multiple accounts is a violation of our policies."

Nope. If an account is revoked, it is no longer "maintained".

"Accounts created for the purpose of spamming or harassing others are strictly prohibited."

Nope.

Facebook sucks (Part Trois)

By this time (about five days) ago, I have had FIVE Facebook accounts yanked so I got a SIXTH. What happened next made me madder than hell.

I have some acting experience (cable access). I had already agreed to act in a medical video for patients and medical students. I have special qualifications for this role. This was a paying job. I had what they were looking for.

Then a few days ago they revoked the offer. I found out they gave it to someone who is not qualified and not what they were looking for, and doesn't have the right characteristics. (REALLY wish I had joined SAG-AFTRA!!) Guess what, the woman they gave the job to is a Trump supporter. She calls Obama supporters "retards" and "monkies" (sic).

There is speculation that I lost this job because of political pressure from the Bevin Administration. The video was to be shown in Kentucky medical schools (and to patients). "But gee Ann, Matt Bevin doesn't know you from Adam." They can find my political postings easy enough.

When I lost this job, I don't remember ever being so angry about anything. This is the worst week of my life.

I posted in the "Greater Cincinnati Politics" group on Facebook about it. Immediately I was kicked off Facebook...for the SIXTH time.

When I lost my first Facebook account in 2011 (because I hurt the feelers of some Republican leaning assholes), I got another one and posted the same stuff. It too was yanked until finally I THINK I was on my FIFTH account!! THEN I think the "Making Drug Tests Mandatory" group shut itself down, or I didn't use Facebook as much.

BTW the "Making Drug Tests" group counted millions of users...supposedly. Most of them were sock-puppets or a bot, not real people. "The Tea Party" group was also like this.

After that I didn't use Facebook as much until a few months ago. Five years without a yanked account, I must have been doing pretty good, or Facebook had turned over a new leaf. All was well again until just maybe four days ago??

I don't suffer fools easily. I don't cater to control freaks easily. I will not follow what "authority" says...like a sheep. A lot of these people are miswired. I have heard A LOT of horror stories about other school systems locally, and had encountered horror stories myself. I posted in the popular "Northern Kentucky" group criticizing the Newport Independent Schools, because it has a reputation as one of the most authoritarian and patently political schools in the area (and they rank near the bottom in testing scores). This was a message thread where other people participated. I don't think the moderator of the group would have deleted my post...and he doesn't have the power to KICK ME OFF FACEBOOK which only Facebook can do!! Which they did!!

Did Newport Independent Schools complain to Facebook about me, and if it wasn't them, who??

(I got suspended from school for calling them "Hitler", fortunately my parents backed me up.)

So I lost a FIFTH Facebook account (and A LOT of contacts).

I am about to tell you folx about the most RIDICULOUS story of Facebook censorship you have ever heard of.

I joined Facebook years ago. All was well until 2011 when there was an uptick in hate groups that brought hate to millions. The first was a racist anti-Obama group, the second was the group "Make Drug Testing Mandatory for Welfare" which was also full of memes, racism, and...illogic I guess?? (The word is pronounced MEEM not MEMAY!!)

I'm not an activist type I guess?? I'm very liberal but not "marching in the streets" liberal?? I went to the Women's March and Anti-Trump March...not much else. I DID lose out on work/certifications BEFORE this happened because of my politics (gee thanks Governor Ernie) and had a lot of shit thrown my way BEFORE that even. I'm used to it. The "Make Drug Testing" group was another animal.

I have minor experience in retail. I still knew A LOT of people who worked retail (I bought snacks/candy and food in bulk). Because I worked in retail, I know what you can buy with EBT/food stamps and what you cannot buy. You can buy PRE-PACKAGED food ONLY. You CANNOT buy chewing gum with foodstamps. The "Make Drug Testing" group LIED when they said you could buy chewing gum!! I called them on the royal carpet about their hoax.

You CANNOT buy non-food merchandise with foodstamps. No toilet paper, paper towels, no foil. NO hot foods. When the group said you could buy hot fried chicken with a EBT card, they LIED.

I posted my feelings and beliefs, and right away I got a PM from an older lady in Missouri threatening me with physical harm. I also got a PM message threatening me because I have a last name that's..."ethnic??" A man-child (who is local to me) saw my city in my profile and started attacking my city in a set of public postings. He said everyone who "liked" my posts was a "sock-puppet" or alias. I took down my profile picture and replaced it with April Tuna, and they attacked April Tuna.
