Ann visits a Republican

I volunteer for a Democratic candidate for Congress in another local seat, and well it is truly a sight to see the people who are voting for the Republican who is Congressman now.

I was working in a semi-remote area (with two other volunteers, for safety) and one of the Republican voters invited me on her property. She was an older lady...70ish maybe older. We spoke outside in her yard about healthcare and social security (which apparently she opposed).

She said "Well only 60 Minutes says they shouldn't make cuts to social security." She kept ranting about 60 Minutes, and each time she said 60 Minutes, she wagged her finger in the air three times with a curved movement. She did the same for the New York Times and "the liberal news media."

I LATER asked one of my other volunteers about it, and he said it was the sign for an "echo" which is this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_parentheses

Back to the older Republican lady...She started talking about how "the central park five were guilty as sin" and the "liberal news media" let them get away with it. And how she votes Republicans in because "we don't want that stuff coming here" and "look what they've done to Glenway." Who is "they"??

I didn't waste a Democratic sign on her, and moved on!!

Drug bust by my old house

They just had a DRUG BUST (heroin) right by my old house.

The dealers must have been tired of having people drive all the way up Fairway to get their fix so they bought or rented a house in town!!

This is what the "why me" post was about!!

Last night, we got food at the STORE and when we put it on the front porch to be taken in, a CHIPMUNK got into it!! ARG!!

We are surrounded on two sides by new subdivisions and they are uprooting the rodents and CHIPMUNKS!!

Why me??
